Judy and Jerry sent me this sketch, which Judy created. It contains three generations of names for both families.
I suggested adding color to the huppah with some flowers and greenery.
I created a pattern on butcher paper.

The silk must be stretched taut so I can paint the lettering, so I used a large embroidery hoop.

To avoid marking on the silk, I used tape to guide my lettering.
The center roundel was too large for an embroidery hoop, so I stretched it over a frame I made.

To set the dyes, I rolled up the whole silk and cooked it in a pressure cooker.
